The Methacton School District recognizes that student wellness and proper nutrition are related to students" physical well-being, growth, development, and readiness to learn. The Board is committed to providing a school environment that promotes student wellness, proper nutrition, nutrition education, and regular physical activity as part of the total learning experience. This year, the district will be working with the Alliance for a Healthier Generation in order to access experts and resources to support our goals.
The Alliance for a Healthier Generation was founded in 2005 by the American Heart Association and William J. Clinton Foundation and is leading a charge against childhood obesity and inspiring young people to develop lifelong, healthy habits. https://schools.healthiergeneration.org/
